Gilbert Hoy is a retired physicist with an international reputation. He received his PhD. from Carnegie Mellon University and his MS degree from Cornell University. He has published over 50 articles in prestigious professional journals such as Physical Review, Directions in Quantum Optics and Hyperfine Interactions. From 1996 through 2003 he has been in a research collaboration at Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium, working on gamma ray physics. He was also a collaborator at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. He is an Eminent Scholar and was physics department chair at Boston University and Old Dominion University. He is now enjoying retirement and his favorite hobby, singing. Dr. Hoy has won first place in the Regional Musical Theater Division of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing).
